Cloud Computing Class

The BCAUSEICANCODE Cloud Computing program is a 4 to 8 week program that covers the introductory and advanced use of Amazon Web Services(AWS) Cloud Computing platform. The program includes the following topics on multiple AWS Services:

• IAM Administration/Security

• API Gateway

• Lambda Functions

• Configuration/Deployment of S3 Buckets

• Configuration of EC2 Instances

• Editing JSON Scripting
  DynamoDB Database

The students participate in exercises and activities to manage and administer an AWS Cloud environment. Various tools and methods are used to pre-assess students and monitor progress as well as post-assess the success of the program. This includes surveys, tests, quizzes, interactive tools such as Kahoot and Quizlet, and ongoing instructor evaluation. The Cloud Computing classes have a lecture format and an interactive session that allows instructor and student engagement.  This format allows the students to gain confidence and knowledge in real-time and allows the instructors to evaluate the students' progress.  The classes are currently conducted virtually using the Zoom video conferencing software.
